need help

My brother has a 1996 camaro and the securtiy system (anti-theft) light stays on and he cant start the car. We tried to disconnect the battery but it didnt work can anyone help? When he tries to start it all it does is make a click noise and it doesnt sound like the starter. Is there anyway to bypass the security system? thanks for any help

Re: need help

u need to call the dealership. it happened on mine when i bought it (2000 firebird) they told me to turn the key to the on position, then press the gas pedal 3 or five times, cant memer. I dont know if its different on camaros, but it doesnt hurt to give them a call.
