No Keys to my Corolla!!!

Hi

I recently bought a CDX 96. I was only issued one key as the others were previously lost. Guess what? Yep.....I lost the only key without sorting out a spare. I phoned the dealership and I was quoted £550 for replacement ECU etc.

I may as well scrap the car if thats the case! Does anyone know how I can sort this dilema on a budget. I just dont have that kind of money and I feel that its far too expensive to replace.

Hello.I would check some junkyards for iginition- key switch and door locks. Dealer's will always charge higher prices. Good Luck !! Diesel 1962.........

Thanks for that. I have just heard today that it may be that the car may not be immobilised via the ECU so I may be in luck.
