before i came to germany i raced a 95 lude si with i/h/e ...got him by 3 cars but i was accused of "leaving the line early" so we raced again...same thing by 3 cars...with a GSR if you lose you need to give that car up... TO ME!!!!!:flash:

it all depends on what year of the cars..
i know they didn't make a prelude si in 2001 but if you took a gsr against a 2001 prellude, sh or not.. you'll lose... not by much but ya will.. |

I raced a 92-96 Prelude Si 5 speed (wayyyy faster than the auto) w/ i/e in my 94 GSR 4 door w/ a muffler. I lost by a car to a car and a half. I would've definitely beat him if we did it from a roll on, but we did it from a dead stop and my 126ft/lb was no match for his 150 something ft/lbs. I believe those H23A Sis crank out 160hp as well........which is only 10 less than my GSR. IMHO, the GSR has the top end........but if the cars have equal mods, drivers, and are both 5 speed.....then I'd give the drag race win to the Prelude. altho GSRs still kick ass

I dunno, maybe...but i just raced a 92-93 prelude SI last friday, an i walked pretty hard on him. he did beat me off the line w/ his torque, but then after that, top 2nd an all of 3rd pulls hard on preludes. no offense to them, but i personally don't like the H' series motors. i like the high rev'ing motors of the B' series. jus my opinion tho.

definitely, the 92-96 Prelude Sis are very torquey(156 ft lbs to be exact)
Every time i switch gears i can feel the kick, i love it. I would have to agree that i would prefer it to be a high revving engine, jsut to get those bad ass high pitched engine noises. Dont get my wrong though, the Sis sing like pavaroti. I have not yet raced a gs-r. After christmas im gonna get some mods and go hunting

the prelude si's are rated in the 16's, while the gsr's are rated in the 15's. the si may have a lot of torque, but it also weighs a lot more. i would have to give it to the gsr without too much trouble.
