01 Cav no start
Hey, i have a question for you guys. My girl friends little sister has a 01 chevy cavalier 2.2L and last week she was driving and said her check engine light came on, she didnt tell anyone. 3 days later she was drving and heard a clicking sound. then it died.
No spark and no fuel pump. I'm not sure what it could be and i dont have the time to go fool with it. Crank sensor? Any ideas?? |

Re: 01 Cav no start
Get the check engine light checked out and see why it came on.

Re: 01 Cav no start
A code would be very helpful in diagnosing this. I assume you checked the basics? Fuses good, related relays ok?
If the theft or security or whatever it says light is flashing or stays on (lots of different designs) try leaving the key in the on position for 10 minutes, then try to start it once the light goes out or stops flashing. The computer is programmed to look for a specified resistance (either in the key or the lock cylinder, depending on design), and over time the resistance changes. Leaving the key in the on position resets the resistance.
