Jeep cj7 wip

Well first off my name is Kevin and this is the first model i have worked on in roughly 4 years. I lost interest while in highschool and I just recently had the urge to work on one so here it is. This is also my first attempt at a lil weathering. Please be kind it is a little rough.

i started by converting to a Coil suspension. There are still a few areas needed to be touched up but this is basically done.

Adding the coils caused a slight lift in the front. to compensate I lifted the rear.

I used soft pastels to add the weathering to the chassis and engine.

As a fellow "Jeeper" and someone who is "kinda" working with this awful kit, this is great. Damn good job on the weathering. Can't wait to see the body.

Re: Jeep cj7 wip

hey Enzo, what do you mean when you say "kinda"? I didn't find to many problems with the kit so far except for the dang hardtop, i originally planed to use it but it just doesn't fit right so i will leave it off

Body was painted gloss black with flat black interior and fenders.

i used the soft pastels to dirty up the undercarriage

and here is a teaser of the finished model.

The interior has yet to be finished and i will try to modify the kits roll cage to my liking

Re: Jeep cj7 wip

the chassis and body weathering looks perfect, but the interior weathering is a bit too "clean", but your build looks great so far
