What are these codes?

Alright, I have a 1992 Sedan Deville (4.9L) and I found 3 codes that I need to know what they are. The codes are E39; E98; and F48. Not sure if this is important or not, but my "service engine soon" light does not stay on. As a matter of fact, it only came once when I took a 300 mile trip this weekend. But the next time I started up my car, the light was not on and hasn't come on since.

Re: What are these codes?

Alright I looked around on that site and found 2 out of three codes. There was nothing for the F48 code. And can someone help me figure out what the other two that are listed below might mean?

(E039).... Torque Coverter Clutch/Viscous Converter Clutch Engagement Problem

(E098) .... High RPM P/N to D/R Shift Under ISC

Re: What are these codes?

039 is detected slippage when the pcm commands the lock up convertor, can be caused by a bad solenoid in the trans, misadjusted stop lite switch, tps, bad tcc. 098, I believe is higher than normal rpm when engaging dr or rev, this requires possible throttle body cleaning, bad idle speed control for some possibilities.
