Valve clearence

anybody know the valve clearence for a 86 305?..(Using a feeler gauge)...changed head gaskets and need to reset valves....Thanks.

The engine has hydraulic lifters - there should be no lash at all. If you're putting the engine together, tighten down the rocker with one hand while spinning the pushrod with the other - once the pushrod encounters resistance to your spinning, turn it one half turn further tight and that's your adjustment.
