Re: laser AWD conversion need help

Firstly this section is only for projects that are being worked on for updates and so on. Not for general questions.

Why not just use the Talon? Seems easier in my book.

Need to change trannys and swap everything related to the drivetrain over.

Re: laser AWD conversion need help

You have to move the awd rear axle to the laser, put the tranny and x-case in, might have to change gas tanks, not sure on the 1gs. Change exhaust and that should be able it. I would think its just a matter of switching parts. Everything should bolt up.

Re: laser AWD conversion need help

There is welding involved. IRRC you need to be able to weld mounts for the read differential etc. And there is alot more to it than that.

Swapping the running motor from FWD to the AWD will be much easier. I promise.
