Replacing Rear Glass on 4dr 96' Blazer.

Recently I was the victim of a break-in on my vehicle. I only had liability insurance so I could not get this fixed. The window they broke was the driver side, rear window vent glass, the triangle shaped piece. Every glass place I went to quoted me $350.00+ to install this! Just this little triangle tinted piece of glass costs so much they said because GM sells it with all the weather trim, and prices it at what I consider, totally outrageous.

I do have a 1995 blazer that was totaled (still has usable parts), that my mother-in-law gave me.

I was able to pull the rear driver side vent glass out of my parts blazer, but am having difficulty installing it on my blazer. I am sure with enough trial-and-error I'll be able to do it, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience or knew a trick to this to make it a little bit easier.

Thank you in advance for any replies!

In the '97 manual, it looks like there's screws holding the corner window & weatherstrip inside the roll down window channel.

Re: Replacing Rear Glass on 4dr 96' Blazer.

I was able to install this piece with the help of some WD-40 and gentle prying. It's not perfect, but close enough.

However, I'm still having problems with my blazer quitting on me. Reference:
