I have a 95 SLS with 78,000 miles. Every time I start the car and let it idle for a while, 5 minutes of less the white smoke begins to come out of the exhaust. After the engine warms up the white smoke disappears. Is this normal for a 4.6 northstar engine?

Re: 95 SLS white smoke coming out the exhaust
It may just be condensation. However, keep a watch on the coolant level. If it drops, consider the possibility of a failed head gasket. Have you had any overheating problems?

Re: 95 SLS white smoke coming out the exhaust
I didn't have any problems with overheating, one time the coolant level dropped but I added some fluid to it and it hasn't been a problem since. ITs been couple weeks ago

Just keep an eye on it then. If the gasket is bad you'll lose coolant. If it's been two weeks with no loss, you're probably seeing condensation.
