need help! building a custom turbo 4 integra

I am interested in building a turbo kit from scratch. It needs to spool fast for the street, but be very agressive ( 275-300 whp ). My car is a 1990 Integra LS w/ a 1994 GS-R B18C1 and original 1990 LS transmission. The engine is stock w/ 72,000 miles. Please give me some insight and places I can get parts. Thanks!

need help...

The point CopperHed210 and I were making is that to throw serious money into a project which could become extremely expensive and use as a base a 12/13 year old engine seems to be going about things the wrong way. Now, I'm the first to admit I dont know an Integra, but unless the laws of Physics are different over there, 300hp and 70,000 miles on a stock motor don't add up to much more than potential disaster in my book.
Perhaps a re-costing of the project may bring you to a different conclusion, but if it doesn't spend money on your stock motor first with any extra going on the goodies.
If you go ahead good luck and let us know the results.

In the eigties BMW built F1 engines on used engineblocks from the sixties. Engines with over 200000 miles on the meter have become monsters with ++500 hp so I can't see that this will be a problem.

Today actually engines get weaker and weaker to save fuel and weight so to build on a little older engine can infact be a smart move.

Also, 275-300 hp isn't much. I would recommend a MHI (Mitsubishi Hea vy Industries) TD04HL with a 18T or 19T compressor and 6 or 7 cm^2 turbinehouse. This turbocharger uses conventional bearings and an 360 degree thrust bearing. Its light moving parts gives a fast spool up and its small size allow boost pressure already at low engine speeds. Also it isn't expensive.

I ran 13PSI on an engine with 152,000 miles on it. I guess we'll never know how long it could have gone, but I have heard of people with the same setup going well over 200,000 problem free, and that was a 14 year old engine.

I would say you are going to get better and more informed responses if you post this in the Honda/Acura forum under the turbo sub-forum.

I'll give you my setup, it's what i have in my 00 civic ex coupe with a b18c1. The turbo won't spool to fast, but you won't need it to, the damn thing hits boost hard and has incredible top end power. Motor wise, it's a 95 gsr complete motor. The block was sent to Golden Eagle, resleeved, eagle rods and arias pistons. The head is a stock gsr head, nothing done to it with the exception of the arp head studs. The turbo is a garrett T4 60-1 ball bearing turbo. I use a greddy type 24 intercooler, tial 40mm wastegate and tial bov. Custom 3in dp and custom 3in piping for the intercooler. The fuel setup is a vortech fmu 12:1 disk, rc 440cc injectors, missing link, safc and 255lph intank pump. Due to the fuel setup, the car is not making it's best numbers because I just don't have enough fuel. Soon with being going with either a AEM or Haltech unit. On 10psi on pump gas, the car makes 326hp and 221ft. lbs of torque to the wheels, the car ran a 11.4 at over 120mph at MIR on it's first day out with ecu troubles kicking the rev limiter back to 6.5k. On a stock motor, 300hp could be pushing it. Make sure to get a compression test and leak down test to see how your motor is doing before you try and push that much boost on the car. http://www.elite-motorsport.com/inlinedyno.jpg
