97 battery draining

hi,

my battery keeps draining while parked. i removed the positive cable and there is >10V with the key of and doors closed. i pulled each fuse and can't find the bad circuit. I removed the light timer relay hoping it was the culprit but still the issue is there.

Any ideas what to do next?

steve

Re: 97 battery draining

Testing voltage for parasitic draw is not an accurate test. Amperage draw must be tested. GM specification is 1200ma maximum draw. Voltage draw less than battery voltage is due to "keep alive memories", such as clock, radio, PCM, etc. Check the amperage draw and post your results.
