Rebuilding 1995 Nissan 240SX SE
I have a 240 SX SE that I purchased new. It has ~130K and the car has been fun to drive and very dependable not to mention that body and interior is in immaculate condition. I would like to rebuild the KA24DE engine, 5 spd tranny, and drive train instead of forking over 40K+ for a new vehicle. I would like to turbocharge the engine and would like to know parts and kits do I need to get 350-400 hp or more if feasible (don't want to break the bank) to plan and blueprint this project. I would go to vendor's site, but I am afraid that I would be purchasing parts/kits over the top from what I need, thus goldplating my project and learn from someone that I spent couple Gs more than what I needed. I have rebuilt engines in the past, but these were 302s, 351s, 327s, and 350s from my days in highschool. I wanted to get reliable information from guys that have already been there and done that. After I rebuild the engine, tranny, drive train and exhaust, I plan on upgrading the the suspension, and brake system. It would be nice to have my 240 throw my in my seat from a dead stop like my 1969 big block Gran Prix.
Thanks in advance from Iowa |
