4x4 problem
the problem is when i push the 4x4 switch nothing happens it just stays in 2 wheel drive and it doesn't even try to go into 4, but when i put the truck in neutral and push the button it trys to switch but doesn't, it will switch into 4 low though and then when you try to put it in 4 high it goes back to 2 wheel. it only trys to work when the truck is in neutral, not driving or in park. also when you push the button both the 4 high and 4 low buttons flash at the same time. anyone know what might be wrong?

Search this forum for "encoder motor"...sounds like the culprit.

Ayup, that would be my other guess according to previous posts. Couldn't remember the name ... Not too hard to change out I hear, just expensive parts. Search that one in here too, some good write ups on diagnosis.
