64 Sport Fury Questions?

Hello

I just purchased a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury, and have a ton of questions, but will limit todays visit to just two!

Where is a good source to obtain a repair/shop manual?

Where is a good source for parts?

There seems to be a few suppliers for the 65 onwards Fury's, but was unable to find anything decent for the 64's

This is my first venture into Mopar/Muscle cars, but I do have a few decades experience with 60's and 70's British Sports cars, and am a Machinist by trade so I do know my way around a car.

Any help getting started would be greatly appreciated!

You'll find FSM's through various web searches. They show up on Ebay and so forth.

I went through Authentic Restoration Products for an FSM on Disk. It's a licensed copy of the original Mopar manuals. The nice part is being able to print a page for use in the shop. When it gets dirty and unreadable, print another one. The company hits some of the major car shows/events on the east coast and midwest. They may make it out to the west coast, but I haven't seen them.

Google Search is your friend.

For parts, there are a few restoration places that you can work with. Not all of them are real speedy when it comes to delivering things. Keep that in mind.

If your looking for NOS, always contact the dealer first. I've been amazed at some of the stuff they have. Some of them will find NOS parts as a service, and tell you who has them.
Next look for somebody like Layson's. They have a bit of a shaky reputation, so be careful.
There are, of course, used parts from wrecking yards. There are Mopar specific yards here and there. Wildcat Wrecking up in Sandy Oregon is the closest to me. They are a bit proud of the stuff, but often have things that aren't otherwise available. It's always best if you can visit the location and put your hands on the part before purchasing. Too much get's lost in translation with remote correspondence.

They all have web presence, so you can ferret them out on your own, or find somebody closer to you.
