WIP, Tamiya Mini Cooper

Had this on the go for around a year, after being busy with other stuff, i am just making another go on it, i'm building another one as well in a different colour (White with a black roof) and also converting a Tamiya cooper kit to a basic mini

Welcome to AF!

Looks like you're off to a good start. The Tamiya Mini is a great (if tiny) little kit.

If you want to add some additional engine detail, I might suggest wiring the ignition system. The spark plugs, distributor, and ignition coil are all easily visible on the front of the engine. You just need some fine guage wire and a suitably sized drill bit.

Re: WIP, Tamiya Mini Cooper

Yes, i am going to wire up the ignition, i should have really drilled the holes before i painted it, but there's always something you forget to do .... the holes in the wheels were drilled out, instead of painting the indents black, like shown in the instructions, the paint is factory tartan red and black.

Here's a few more photo's since the last lot, coming on quite good ....

Front end is now finished, just the rear to do, plus door handles, badges and a few decals to do, then it's finished.
