what the f,need answers fast
97 blazer Ls will not start ,very wierd.new battery,ignition switch ,alternator ,has good connections and checked everything i could think of. heres the deal put key in and it chimes turn key forward and all power goes out and battery dies needs jump . keep hearing clicking under dash after battery drained. no clue what it is

maybe a loose connection somewhere..perhaps near the starter?
Sounds like it cuts power after it shorts out. Enough power to run the ignition,but not to turn it over. I'd start by checking all cables to the starter,and battery. GL CS |

sorry to ask, but is the battery fully charged? if not, what you describe will happen. try jumping it, letting the alternator charge the batt for a while (assuming the jump works) and see if it will start again.

battery is 4 days old . when I turn the key all power is lost no lights door chime nothing then the actuator to release the key gets stuck so maybe that is the problem. also tried jumping it and it worke once but I tried again last time and it did nothing after 45 min getting jumped still nothing .new battery,ignition switch ,alternator ,has good connections and checked everything i could think of.

i think it's gotta be a bad ground. they can be murder to find. get the test light out.
