Help: oil light comes on when making sharp turn

I have a 2001 Alero 2.4 5spd and my oil light (the red light, not the change oil light) comes on when I make a sharp turn. When turning, the oil light comes on briefly and my car beeps a couple of times. Once I go through the turn, the oil light turns off and everything is fine. Any ideas???

When mine does that, I find that it's time to add some oil.

This fixed my problem. I just decided to have an oil change since it was time anyway. Thanks for the help.

FYI the oil switch on the bottom of the oil pan is a float on a rod. If the oil level is low the float slides to the bottom of the rod and sends a message to the dash.

Thanks for the response Earl. I also noticed when I used to take my alero to my dealership for an oil change, they put 5 qts of oil in it. However, I've been taking to a more local oil change business and they have only been putting 4 qts in the engine. I may have to ask them, What's up with that???
