Exclamation 1989 Bronco II XLT HARD STARTING!!!!

I have a 1989 Ford B2 XLT 5-speed manual, anyways i have hard starting i am my own mechanic, but this is driving me insane. I have replaced the air filter (K&N), fuel filter (motorcraft), distributor cap & wires & spark plugs(motorcraft), fuel line, proper maintainance (oil change synthetic, shocks, etc.), alternator, all wires running to and from battery, battery.
but i cant seem to fix the problem itself, i had another mechanic tell me my fuel pump is weak but not sure if it is the problem (dont want to waste $300 on a motorcraft one) but if it will fix it, i will, buy it because it is embarrasing cranking a engine more than twice. i am just looking for confirmation or could it be something less expencive.
Thanks, any help appreciated.

P.S.
i took it to NTB two days ago to get my tire repaired (nail in tire), and once it was done it took the guy 6 starts for 10-20 seconds, i had to go out and start it b/c the people didnt want to be held liable, and it took me twice, i need to fix this problem NOW it has been annoying me since i bought the truck. the fuel pump turns on when in the "on" position for like 1-2 seconds then stops, and when running it is very noisy. plz any help on solving the problem will make one less man crankin his engine a million times.
