After a 3 month setback I finally got the J30 back to normal!

Well i got in a hit and run and finally got it back from the shop and here are some pics!

Only thing bad with the job was my speakers got messed up but the shop is covering for them.



Stuff int he middle is glue i tried to use and fix the middle so it would quit buzzing. Worked until they got messed up.

I used RTV gasket cement under the two wires to fix the buzzing on my Bose speakers. The stuff is thick so it won't run and when dry, it does a decent job absorbing vibration. Now I just need to fabricate a dust cover to put over the speaker coil and magnet.

The car looks great now. Unfortunately, everytime Isee a thread like this, it just reminds me of the cosmetic work my J needs; the bumper has a hole in the shape of a tailpipe in it and the paint has so many scuffs (previous owner was somewhat neglectful and he also wrecked it at one point).

yah i still get to have my front and rear bumper repainted. camera doesnt really pick it up but they are pretty bad. not worring much abt the speakers since i have subs in the trunk. door and a-pillar speakers are good enough.

I'm actually debating replacing my audio system. Stock one sounds incredible but I've already had to replace the head unit and fix one speaker and I don't know how long it will be until everything starts dying.

yah i didnt want to replace my speakers too. front speakers are still fine and i have a set of subs and a new head unit.
