Rear knock sensor or circuit or VCM problem.
But it is going to take a lot of testing and checking to find the problem.
I would check wiring first thing and make sur the enmgine does not have a real knock.

You need to get some good repair information with the repair flow chart for that code.
A factory repair manual or all data is the best info.

Also you will need a good engine capable scanner.
Good Luck

Re: Code P0332

It's been about a month since I sent this out on the forum. I appreciate MT2500 reply as well as the regular contributers in this forum.I been clearing the codes, because I wanted to run the gas down so I could refill with fresh gas. Thinking that the code showed up two days after I washed the engine and she had gone the day after the engine was washed and went to low dealer gas station and filled up, might be bad gas and not from the engine washing. The code showed up the day after the vehicle was filled.Anyway as said before I been clearing the codes ,sometimes the code will come back on the next day, other times a few days and recently it went for two weeks before it showed back up. I asked my wife who drives it regularly if any knocking/clattering noise, loss of power when the light activates,of course no clue as to what she trying to describe to you. The light would never come on when I was driving it until yesterday.I notice that when I accelerated and the tranny drop into passing gear is when the code light came on. Definitly could hear a clattering from the engine, no loss of power, hesitation or otherwise. When the vehicle return to normal cruising speed, the clattering cleared up. So the knock sensor is picking up the excessive clattering in the engine. So I guess what I'am asking is what may be causing this the engine to clatter other than say bad gas.Seems to me the knock sensor is good and operating as it should be.If any help, it just turn 104,000.

That sounds to me like a clue.

My knowledge (limited) on knock sensors is that they will retard the ignition when it detects a knock. Sounds as if that particular sensor is not doing it's job.

Re: Code P0332

I think the key issue here is whether the described "clattering" is fuel knock, or an internal engine noise, get someone , if you cannot, to drive the car and try and differentiate whether it is one or the other.
