06? Mustang vs. 07 tC

Hey everyone, I don't post here often and i normally just read the racing stories.

anyways, i have an 5speed 07 Scion tC with an intake, exhaust, and some t ires[so not really anything]

Anyways,

Last night around 1am I am driving home from a local meet with my scion friends. I'm just cruising a lot not really thinking about anything but getting home and going to sleep. So i hit a red light and im just sitting there, and a Mustang pulls up next to me. Blacked out windows so i couldnt see in. Light turns greens and the f*cker takes off to the next light. It was the newer gen. Mustang, but the V6 version[single exhaust]

So as the street racing gods would have it, the light is red. I'm sitting next to him watching the light. Red. Green.

I wasn't sure if he was going to go for it, so i didn't really launch. But after .1 seconds he made it clear that he was going. So OK i got a pretty crappy launch and was down half a car length through first gear. 2nd gear i pull dead even with him, and by the end of 2nd gear i am MAYBE a fender ahead. [my 2nd gear tops out at 50mph]. Shift to 3rd gear. Neither car is pulling on anyone. I was really waiting for the Stang to start pulling away after i hit 3rd gear, but it never happened. Shift to 4th at 75mph, and still ahead by a fender. 100mph is coming up and im almost out of 4th gear. 100mph comes and i get off the gas, as does the mustang, since a red light is coming up. It was clear i still had him by a nose, and i guess he wasnt too happy because even though he slowed down, he went flying through the red light with his hazards on.

I would also guess that the stang was automatic. 90% of the cars here in the city are auto.

Well either way, I was happy to take down a car that has similiar power/weight as my car.

hope you guys enjoyed, and never underestimate the other guy!

Good kill. I was trying to get a Lexus badged tC with under body neons and an exhaust to play earlier tonight, but he wouldn't bite.

^^indeed

Good kill with a car I barely know... Seems to be an interesting ride!

Maybe stop being the quiet one and give us more stories.

Nice kill. Those autos are horrible. I have a friend who has a 06/07 GT, she let me take her car for a spin, all I can say is DAMN. There is like a 1.5 second delay from the time I mash the throttle to the time you feel the car go...such a shame...
