1993 Ignition problem

The other night im getting gas, i shut my truck off. When i start it back up to leave it fires right off as usual but wont go in gear, its an automatic and the shifting lever just wouldn't come out of park, so i went to turn the key off and it wouldnt budge. finally after wiggling it it shut off. got home and it did it again but this time the key wouldnt shut off for anything and forced me to pull the distribuer wires to kill the engine and pull the battery cable. any ideas on what do to?

THANKS

Re: 1993 Ignition problem

Do you have a good spare key?
If so try it.
And spray a lubercaint in key cylinder.
Determine if just the key cylinder or other stuff binding it up.
If just the key cylinder it can be replace.
Other stuff can to but the thing will have to be taken apart.
Good Luck MT
