Daytime running lights

Anyhow, I was checking out this guys accord, and I really liked the custom daytime running lights he did, and am considering doing the same thing to my car. I know a lot of people wire it up with the parkings so they come on with the headlights, I see people do that all the time.

I probably wont do this, but I emailed the guy about info on how to do it, so I will end up trying it out.

You can buy daytime running lights.
PIAA Makes some. they are available in different colors too.

That install does look super clean!
I like it!

I emailed him and he said what you do to get em to come on with the ignition is tap the red wire (off the battery) into a live wire that powers something else.

All you would have to do would be to run a wire from the 12+ of the ignition to the headlight wire and it would be on all the time.

I think I figured out what I want to do. I want to figure out a way to wire it up dual fillament, much like brake light is, so its on dim with the headlights, and then gets brighter when you hit the brake, cept this would be on with the headlights, and then would get brighter when you hit the blinker, you guys understand what I am getting at?

IMO i think that it would be cool to be able to brake and have your front lights (what he's talking about) light up. the only way you would be flashing another car in front of you is if you keep putting your brakes on...but when i drive i dont know what brakes are unless i see a cop or my dad. so...good luck on your idea

then blink with the blinkers

i do. Like an old car with only one tail it is the brake light and the blinker....so instead it woudl be the headlight and the blinker in one....i think it would piss people off cause they might think you were highbeaming them.

Oh well, usually I am highbeaming em. Specially last night, some lady ran a stop sign, and I laid on the horn and hit the high beams, then my mom who was in the car got all mad at me.
