Re: tranny prob

Start off by going to a gm dealership and getting some stuff called synchromesh, put that in there and watch a miracle happen lol. That stuff is incredible and youll get tons of people backing me up on this one. If you still have a problem the choice is your to try and rebuild it, or find another one. However if you do have the lsd version (ys1 or y1) then youve got some really short gears and it may be worth the rebuild.

Re: tranny prob

Its similar to Lucas Transmission additive. I haven't tried Synchomesh yet, but I have known Lucas to work miracles too. Just never try to fill it up when the bottle is cold, you will spend a couple hrs doing it.

Re: tranny prob

Its not an additive, its a manual transmission fluid. Full synthetic, the stuff looks like black water and feels like silk.

May also come in a round bottle but mine looks like that.

Re: tranny prob

synchro = the shit, definitely,

5th gear slippage guy, check your clutch and adjust as necessary, that's probably what your problem is, having short gears, torque will pop the transmission out of gears in the higher ranges. Just a thought.
