Diagnostics tool
Does anuone know if you can use a code scanner to perform the CKP variation learn for your crankshaft position sensors? I just put 2 new ones in today and need to know if I have the right tool or not. Thanks

Is this a specific tool or would a Actron scan tool for an OBD II connection work on my 01 Aurora? |

Re: Diagnostics tool
I have an Actron CP9145 and there is no programming or provision within its features to do the case learn. I don't believe other Actron models have the feature either. If you want the case learn done you'll have to take it to a GM dealer who has the Tech II scan tool. Cost should range from $40-$80.

Re: Diagnostics tool
Thanks for your help. I didn't know if the actron would work on not. Are these cars known for going through sensors really bad because this one has already gone through 3 sets of crankshaft position sensors.
