I got Beat-up for the First Time.

Its a pretty simple story, basically I was at a friends house who I've known for quite a while and we are pretty comfortable with each other in a friendly kind of way, we don't sleep with each other sexually but we do sleep in the same bed together and "snuggle" or whatever, whenever i stay over to her house and its really no big deal, we've done it for years...
So anyways she apparently has (had) a new boyfriend like usual (she gets tired of guys quickly and only keeps the same one for a couple months at most) who i hadn't met and for some reason she gave him a key to her apartment.
So we're sleeping there and all i really know is that we were both asleep until i heard the door to the bedroom open and i immediately woke up with a 'WTF' look on my face and see a guy looking straight at me.
Then without warning he literally yells and charges at me while I'm laying almost naked in bed with a blanket on. He ran and jumped on me in a way that it trapped my left arm under the blanket kinda down by my torso so i was left trying to cover my face and punch with only one arm. He was definitely not an experienced fighter but with me being dazed from just waking up and also not being able to use one arm, he laid down quite a few hard punches on my face and neck.. I did manage to bloody his nose and I jabbed him in the eye pretty good, which was enough to send him to the floor and into a fetal position. I was not actually aiming to poke him in the eye but I'm still glad i did. He went to the hospital in an ambulance because apparently i cut his eye with my thumbnail. I haven't heard back about how hes doing, I personally don't even care. if anything this has made my and the girl (wont mention her name because i have friends who go on her sometimes haha) closer somehow and its strengthened our relationship.

And yeah ive been boxing and training in muay thai for years and even have a little juijutsu experience, and ive been hurt before, but this guy literally pounded on my face like a sledge hammer on a sidewalk liturally for about 15 seconds and man im lucky to not have a broken nose, jaw, orbital, missing teeth... everything is fine accept for 3 lacerations, both eyebrows and one near the top of my forehead. Ive never taken a beating like this in ten years..

I know most of you dont care but just thought i would share, lol.

cool story, good you're not hurt too badly. Tearing an eye is an extremely serious wound, your assailant may end up with impaired vision, color-blindness, or maybe even complete blindness in that eye.

You let him get away with only a scratched cornea? You must have a cool head. If someone sucker-punched me while I'm half asleep and lying in bed under the covers he'd have at the very least a broken nose. I'm not a violent person - I've been martial arts training for a few decades now and I've never been in a situation where I wanted to use my training to hurt someone. But if someone jumped me while I'm still in bed...especially since you didn't have sex with her...I mean if you had sex with her and he's her boyfriend then maybe he's justified...but no sex means I'd kick his ass. Maybe you should introduce him to your friends - the ones who are having sex with her.

What a tale. On one hand, I'm on your side cause you were attacked in a vulnerable position and quite unexpectedly. On the other hand, if I was that guy and I saw you almost naked all hugged up with my girl, you would have left that room with a nose so misshapen that Owen Wilson would point and laugh.

Im with Damien on this one... if you knew she had a boyfriend, then it doesnt count you were sleeping... you were in bed half naked with his girlfriend!!
doesn't that strike you as even remotely odd? damn bro.. i'd have attacked you too.. buy a body pillow and get a guy friend already.. or a girlfriend!?!

Hell, I'd be afraid to only "sleep" with her. She sounds kind of unstable.

I agree with others. If she gave me a key, I'd say that was my invitation to come and go as I please, and I'd get pretty unfriendly if I came in and found some dude I didn't know in bed with my girl.

With what you quoted, I didn't want to say anything at first, but it seems like you'd get something just being around her...

I had a friend like that I defended for awhile, but when you keep doing it, there's only so much a friend can do before it's like, ok! You get around, yeesh. Sorry, aside formt he fact he threw the frist punch which is legally wrong, you got some problems there.

You're an idiot. You are going to come across these moments more and more unless your "friend" gets a clue. If I knew there was another guy in bed with my girl, I would've bludgeoned his ass with crowbar, juijitsu or not. This shows no respect for your "friend" whom you're so madly in love with or any guy she does hook up with. Either quit toying with each other and just get married or go find a girl that actually wants to hook up with you.

Im thinking you should either ditch your "snuggle" buddy (which is fruity in its own right) or just start actually sleeping with her. Its messed up that she didnt tell a guy who is snuggled up with her in her bed half naked that she has a boyfriend, but what is even more messed up is that you arent trying to get any. Every time i have been in a bed with a girl when I am half naked and there is some sort of touching involved there is also some action that has either happened or will happen. Im thinking the only reason she likes you sleeping with her is either because she wants to jump your bone or because you are a sensitive guy. If you keep "snuggling" with her then just tell her she better tell you if a guy has a key to her place or you will jab your fingernail into her eye next time.
