stupid water!..or stupid me..lol

a while ago I was on hear ALOT I put my truck in a big ditch and it was under water..well drivers side was..anyway truck is running great thanks to this forum just some tiny glitches left like this one!..I have a 1999 sierra z71 5.3l push button 4x4...when I turn on my int. lights only the ones by the feet come on and on my msg cetre it says cargo lamp on...but its not!checked....when I push my map lights on they come on very dim but the lights by the feet come on too (also very dim) and its is saying cargo lamp is on again....but its not..any insite on where to start looking would be great!

Sounds like a bad ground, a wiring diagram will be very helpful with this one.

where is the best place to go to get the correct wiring diagram??
are the ones in the chilton or haynes manuals good enough??
