ac blower

i just wanted to let everyone know that if you ac fan motor goes out and you replace it that you should get someone to help you check to see if the fan blades are catching on the plastic on the inside. i got mine all put back together and then almost messed up the new motor becasue it got hung up inside to the point that it quit spinning and created smoke. i just wanted to let other people know who might have the same problem later on down the road. this happened on a 92 town car.

Re: ac blower

Yes it can. I only had trouble with it rubbing.

New fan does not come with foam seal and I bought some weather stripping
and put it on to take up space. Ended up puting it on low when I tightened the screws to make sure it was in the right place.

Good luck

Re: ac blower

yeah mine didn't come with a seal either so i took the old one off carefully and used some silicone high temp gasket stuff to make the old seal stick to the new motor and it still caught. so i decided to just sand down the inner part till it didn't catch any more.
