Buying a 98 GTP

MY friend is looking into buying a 98 Grand Prix GTP with 130,000KM. What are some common problems and things to look for while looking at this car? Do they have simular common issues as a 3800 SII Impala would have?

Re: Buying a 98 GTP

The engine of the GTP is quite strong and shouldn't give you any problems however you will want to make sure the SC oil has been changed. If there is a rattle in the SC the coupler can be changed with basic hand tools and only costs a few dollars. The transmission can be a problem especially if the car has been run hard. If the car runs good and has not been abused it would be worth money.
