93 LeSabre Shakes and Dies After Stopping

For about a week now Ive had problems with this....When I come to a stop and then try to drive it will shake hard and then die....When it first started I could start it right back up and it would go...Now, its getting worse, it happens more and when it does I have to wait a little bit before it will start without shaking and then dying...I also noticed a gas smell when it happened yesterday...Im not good with vehicles....anyone have an idea what this could be??

with out knowing some more history,I would start with some basics such as plugs, checking coils, injecter cleaner. had a similar problem caused by a stuck open EGR valve. good luck and lets go flyers! post your results.

Does the check engine light come on? Stalling is a common problem with these cars. Search the forum, for information. It could be a number of things.
