2000 Blazer LT 4x4 Issue Help!!

The Blazer went into either 4H or 4LO one day and won't come out. It has the electronice push button controls and all five lights are on all the time. I have tried switchign form nuetral to park etc. I hear no type of noises anywhere when I try to get it to disengage. The service 4wd lights comes on eventually after driving for a bit. Throwing no codes.

233 0r 236 Transfer case?
Does it have the auto 4W shift button?
If not working right there should be codes?
How have you checked for codes?
Or what kind of scanner are you using?

Re: 2000 Blazer LT 4x4 Issue Help!!

Not sure on the type of transfer case. How do I find out? It does have the Auto 4WD. I had two different types scanners check it. Not sure which ones. I sthere a special scanner for checking these types of problems? I've read it could be the transfer case switch or actuator?? Vacuum related? Not too concerned about using the 4WD. I just want to be able to get it back into 2HI.

Re: 2000 Blazer LT 4x4 Issue Help!!

Check all fuses and wiring and relays.
If a 236 you will need a transmission/transfer case/engine capable scanner to test it or get codes.
Also it will have some shifting test built into the scanner.
There should be a code or codes to point you in the right direction.
Post back code no.
