Does anyone know if there is a conversion kit avaiable to convert the rear drums to Dics brakes on a 1997 Ford Escort Sport. If so, where can I get it?
Thanks Guys! Eric opcorn:

Re: Rear Drum to Disc Brake Conversion
Not to be mean or anything, but I wouldn't waste my money to convert a Ford Escort into 4wheel disc.

Re: Rear Drum to Disc Brake Conversion
Instead of laying out $500 for a rear brake conversion kit consider slotted rotors and ceramic pads for the front discs that you have. Since the weight of the car under heavy braking tranfers 70 percent to the front, the front brakes do most of the braking. I've got the slots and ceramics on my 97 and they really crank it down fast. It's a noticable improvement from conventional rotors and semi-metallic pads.
