Re: I want a 240z damnit!!!

I also like post-whoring..., but really I want a 240z, with a 280zx motor(or the whole damn car as long as it's a parts car) so I can begin work on my ultimate Z Slickback. I can't wait for some help with this, I have looked in any place I could think of, and am waiting patiently for some helpful directionopcorn:.

I have a 1976 datsun 280 z which has only 3 differences when compared to the 240 body. #1 location of turnsignals is not in lower fender, is located in grill. #2 has different emblems on quater sail panels, #3 has different bumpers. the stock 240z only made 148hp the stock 1976-1978 280z made 170. The 240 can be hopped up with webber downdrafts or a set of the earliest SU carbs from 1969-1971. If you are planning on using a 280zx it only made 135 hp stock. the 1976-1978 280z motor was fuel injected and was computer controlled just had more hp because of a better head design. I have a 280z that needs body work and some mechanical(brakes only) work. My 280 is bored 80 over, with port and polish on head done, erson high lift cam, hooker header, and flowmaster exhaust. Not to loud but has a nich rumble, everytime I go put gas in it I get asked if it has a v8 in it. gets about 19 miles to the gallon and will fly. Est hp to rear wheels to be close to 220 have had car up to 130 miles an hour with a 4 speed and still pulling hard. 4 speed is rebuilt and has 1 year old racing clutch in it. i also have some parts to go with it and you would have to pickup or arrange shipping. price is $900 or best offer. need to sell and comes with clean title. I also know that the 3.0 v6 from 1984 up to 1988 will fit with only motor mount and wiring issues. car has some rust but the frame rails are solid and that is the most important because you have something to weld to. Anyway have to many cars and need the money for bills. It is road worthy as I still have tags and insurance on car.
