Lower Intake Manifold Gasket Leaks on 2002 Windstar?

Has anyone with a 2002 or newer windstar had to change their Lower intake manifold gaskets? I am noticing a bit of a witness mark on the outside of the joint and it appears I am leaking a bit of oil at the bottom of the joint where the gasket meets the china wall. I have had a friend who works for Ford tell me that they had repaired the lower intake gaskets in 2000 so I wouldn't have a problem. Just looking for anyone that may have had to get them replaced to contradict what my friend is telling me.

Went back to look.. I think my PCV valve hose needs to be replaced. but it does look like the lower intakes leaking but it also runs from the top. So it may be the PCV valve hose letting oil escape.. Just thought I let you know my find..

Re: Lower Intake Manifold Gasket Leaks on 2002 Windstar?

Thanks for your info, I hope it is as simple as the PCV hose....

I have noticed this oil change as well that I am about a quart low... This is the first time I have noticed much oil usage, and I have also been smelling a bit of burnt oil every so often. Since I can't find a significant leak, I haven't ruled out the burnt smell as being a passing car on the road, but I am going to keep lookin. We'll see what happens.
