2000 Jimmy Hard starting

Just replaced the fuel pump and filter. The jimmy will start most of the time, then every now and then It will crank and crank with a no start for a minute, the whole time you can hear the pump running.. Any suggestions? 2000 Jimmy 4.3 Auto 4drd 4x4.

I had it happen to mine and it turned out the pressure was borderline from the pump I think it was reading 62 or 63 psi. The pump was only a week old. I changed the pump and the problems went away

Fuel Pump was bad out of the box? Doesnt suprise me these days, What brand did you have?

What did yours do when it was acting up?

It was from Autozone, don't remember the brand. It would start sometimes and other times it would not. When it started it would run fine, and no regularity as to when it would start or not start. I would try to start it, cranking and cranking and nothing, leave it alone come back 20 minutes later and it would fire right up sometimes, other times I would go to start it and it would fire right up. It drove me nuts.

Thanks for the insight. I have to get my fuel pressure gauge out and double check things. Its on my Ex's Vehicle LOL..

its very intermittent when it does it and usually starts right up just takes longer to crank than it should.
