help with 95 corolla

well after driving maybe a half hour around town my car seems to heat up and when trying to go after a stop (lets say at a light) it seems to like not want to go like the car is stalling. sounds like it want to turn off. its an automatic if that helps. oh and sometimes when it is in the sun and i turn it on the car seems to not shift out of 1st gear it just vrrrooooms but doesnt seem to want to change into 2nd so i let the pedal go. and slowly try again.

You supplied very limited information that is useful but I'll make a few suggestions. Flush your cooling system and replace the thermostat. Use Toyota (red color) antifreeze that you purchase from a Toyota dealer.

On the transmission you may be low on ATF. You might want to have the transmission flushed with replacement ATF.

If you have limited car repair knowledge I would recommend you go to your nearest Toyota dealership or an independent auto repair shop
