Question on suspensions

I'm looking at buying 1 of 2 GMC Suburbans, both K1500, pushbutton 4x4, tow package, 3.73 rear ends. Both are conversion units with the 4 captains chairs, tv, etc.
The 1997 sits really low, like most c1500's, the 1998 has 2-3" more space between the tire and wheel well. Niether are Z71's.

Are there different suspension packages within the K1500 line?
