93 Eclipse no spark
The car: 93 1.8L Mitsubishi Eclipse.
The Problem: I have no spark at the plugs the car just cranks. I cracked the fuel rail to ensure gas was getting there and it is. The plugs and plug wires are not even a year old and still look to be in good condition. Spark plug gap is good. I pulled the cap and rotor no moisture was found. Checked all fuses and relays, all are in good order I changed out the cap and rotor. Double checked the firing order. Lastly I pulled a working distributor and swapped it with mine thinking that pherhaps the coil was bad. No luck at all with what i have done thus far. Not one of the cylinders is recieving spark, right now I am stumped. Thanks for the help. |

Re: 93 Eclipse no spark
My last 93 talon had a similar problem, but mine would eventually fire after between 5 and a million cranks.
If this seems to be the case with yours, my solution was barometric pressure sensor, temp sensor, and TPS...I would advise trying the first to tho as I was young and foolish at the time and purchased all three instead of doing one by one...(TPS is about 250)
