Can anyone help????

Hi everyone,
just found your excellent forum, been looking at some of the work you folks are doing AWSOME,
Really like the Tribute builds that have been started for Colin,Richard and Michael,
I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction,
I have a Hasegawa Subaru Legacy in Rothmans colours to build and I'm obviously wanting to build it as Colin's,unfortunately the Decals in the Kit are for Ari Vatinen, was wondering has a second party made any of these type of decals at any time to convert these kits or indeed is there a generic lettering kit with flags etc in 1/24 available anywhere???,I've been away from modelling for a good few years so I'm not really up on where to get things these days
Also could you recommend any good Driver/Co-Driver figs from anywhere???
Kindest regards
TYS

Re: Can anyone help????

I have the same Hasegawa kit and am also hoping to convert it to Colin McRae's car but the 1992 Rac Rally instead. You will need to change the front and rear number plates, the drivers names, the numbers on the boards on the doors and also the numbers on the boards on the bonnet and rear window.
I don't think there has ever been an aftermarket set for this car? You can buy the generic numbers for the door boards and if you have a printer and a half decent graphics program you can produce the drivers names and the flags etc and print them yourself quite easily.Colin carried number 21 on the 1991 Rac Rally.

Re: Can anyone help????

Tamiya put out a Rally Driver/Co-driver set a couple years ago. Kit #89610.

Tamiya's US site now says "discontinued," but I bet you can still find them if you poke around a bit.

Re: Can anyone help????

The Tamiya rally driver and co-driver set will not fit in the Hasegawa kit unless you're willing to modify both the kit and the driver figures.

Although the Tamiya and Hasegawa kits are the 'same' scale, Tamiya kits tend to be a little more proportionately larger.

I guess that begs the question as to which is correct.....
