Unhappy 99 Alero Gauge Problems

I will start off by saying that if I could trade this car in I would in a minute. But, unfortunatley I am upside down and can not. The problem I am having this week is that my Fuel gauge and my temp gauge have swung all the way around and are not stuck in the wrong position. I cant tell how much fuel I have ( which is not a huge problem, as I know how many miles to the gallon I get), but not knowing if the car is running hot is a problem. I just replaced the intact manifold gasket on it about 6 weeks ago. I am still weiry, because I still see fluid under the car all the time. I really need that gauge. Any idea how I can reset it or get it back in the right position ? I have no idea why or how the gauge panel went wacky that day but it did. My speedometer was stuck on 140 for a about 30 minutes but ended up going back once I turned the car off and re started it. No such luck with the other gauges. Any help appreciated.

Re: 99 Alero Gauge Problems

Well, I took a chance and it payed off. I removed the gauge panel cover, then removed more screws and was able to take the front cover off and turn my gauges back the right way. Although I did break the warranty sticker on it. No biggy since its not under warranty. Now I am on my way to the dealership to trade it in. If I had found this forum before I bought it, I would be driving something else right now.
