intermitting starting problems vt

Hi people I had intermittent starting problems with my VT V6 when cold mainly, but some times when hot. It would crank and crank but no start. I would then leave for 1hr or so and usually it would then start as normal (Weekly occurrence).
Had agents look at it and run diagnostics no help. Recommendation replace crank sensor then water temp sensor and finally coils ($700NZ), the first two were no help at all the last resulted in an improvement but 3 months back again. Finally we managed to monitored the power to injectors and coils when problem was present and found no go. Consulted electrical diag which lead to the control relay switch not the crank relay. Upon inspection noticed the contacts to be corroded other than a small area. Replace relay cost $6.00NZ no more problems to date. Hope this helps others before parting with serious cash.
