The 89 YJ 6 cyl elimination game. Help please

Can someone please help me with this problem? I have a 89 yj straight 6 cylinder I don't like the big breather cap and air filter, along with all of the hoses, and air lines. Is there anyway to eliminate a lot of that stuff? I've seen one guys engine, and he had plenty of space under the hood, needless to say I should have asked him this question..Duh... So how can I do the same? a million thanks in advance.

That will all depend on how strict your auto emmisions tesing is in your area. Here in NE PA all emmisions devices that were installed at the factory must be present , not neccesarilly working, but must be on the car to pass.

Thanks for the reply I had almost given up. I'm in Michigan, pretty much anything goes here when it comes to emissions.
