Cool 2 x Porsche: Cayman GT and Boxster „Stola“-like

Hi,

after I got Scaleproduction`s Cayman GT transkit, I started rather quick with the Fujimi Cayman kit. The front and rear bumpers were cut away carefully and substituted by the resin bumpers. This works fine, no problems here. Quality of the parts is great, no holes to fill.

Further I formed sideskirts with putty.

The 2 Cayman bumpers I fixed to a Tamiya Boxster. The upper part of the Tamiya bumpers remaines, the lower part is from the Cayman.

Next the holes for the air for the engine were lowerd, in a Stola-style made of sheet.

Next, the cover behind the seats war lengthend towards the seats and a hole for the fuelcap was drilled in the front cover.

More plastic magic from you Micha!
I like your idea of playing with the Boxster.

I'm looking forward to following this

Awesome stuff, another one i have to buy with no money on hand. Great progress, the vents on the boxster look sweet. One question the cayman t-kit didn't come with side skirts?

Excellent bodywork here, typical of your builds. I really like how those lowered holes for the engine came out. It looks like the kit actually came that way. Looking forward to more of this project.

Nice start, I'm really looking forward of the progress!

The bumper work make both cars look way much cooler comparing to the box stock!

Any idea of the rims? Any color you planned?

At the moment I just put colour on both bodys, now some drying is necessary and then clear will follow. Not until then you´ll see the colours

Concerning the rims I´m not sure, but in the next days I´ll get some new design BBS-wheels. They are for one car, the other will get different wheels, not sure about them yet.

I´ll keep you informed

Cool job Micha. Pardon my ignorance but is the Cayman GT a real car and if so how different is it from the Cayman S?

Re: 2 x Porsche: Cayman GT and Boxster „Stola“-like

Hi Mike,

no ignorance here.

The Cayman is a car, that tuners are keen on. Just a few examples:

http://www.seriouswheels.com/2006/20...A-1280x960.htm
http://www.seriouswheels.com/2006/20...n-1280x960.htm
http://www.seriouswheels.com/2006/20...e-1024x768.htm
http://www.seriouswheels.com/2007/20...A-1280x960.htm

The Cayman GT transkit by Scaleproduction I build here is just another idea to add some individual touches to the Cayman, in this case with front and rear from the Carrera GT. But – looking at the above mentioned links – it is possible that a Porsche tuner will to this on the real car in the next time …

The Cayman GT is not a factory car.
