SOHC Rear valve cover stuck

I noticed some leaks from the rear valve covers so i decided to change the gaskets, but after taking the whole plenum off i couldnt get the cover off because theres no way to grip it and the gaskets are like melted onto the engine! I got the front ones out by grabbing the oil cap area and tugging on it for about 10 minutes. how on earth will i pull of the rear ???

Re: SOHC Rear valve cover stuck

screwdriver and a hammer wedged between the head and the cover...just don't damage the head...give it a few taps.
