hard start

I'm trying to help my buddy out with his '99. When he goes to start it, he has to hold the key down longer than normal. I know he has replaced the fuel filter and he took it to a shop and they said his fuel pump is good. I found a thread saying how it might be the fuel pressure relay. After reading the thread (on Cadiilacforums.com) I think this is worth trying. Only problem is I need to know where this relay is at. Is it under the hood? Anyone know?

Re: hard start

I think you mean the fuel pressure regulator. It's on the fuel rail. You will need to remove the engine cover to get access to it.

Re: hard start

Well I was talking about a relay, we found it but that ain't the problem. Guess we'll try the fuel pressure regulator next.
