1982 F-100 clutch help

Alright Ladies and Gents,

I'm Desperatly in need of some help on my Truck. My son Had an accident in the Vehicle and Rolled it over on its side but not completely over. Anyway, the Issue I'm Having with it is the clutch. What happens is the pedal When compressed Jumps down about 6 inches and is able to be compressed with a little force to about 3 inches and then it's to the floor. I think it May be a Bent clutch Adjustment plate or it may have just slipped off the track.

Any Ideas?

Re: 1982 F-100 clutch help

Hi, I know my '90 F150 has a slave cylinder which is actually activating the clutch with the pedal. The hydraulic lines and/or cylinder may be damaged and leaking or air has gotten into the system. This might help.

Re: 1982 F-100 clutch help

rdevour, Thanks for that bit of Information but I'm working with a Three speed manual instead of the standard automatic they used. The guy who had the truck before me did the Conversion from it being Three on the Tree to Three on the floor. We managed to get the truck to shift into gear and it will move but I was wondering if there was a bushing that possibly went anywhere on the Clutch assembly.
