You guys are probably saying.....how stupid can you get?
I have a 2004 Sierra 2500 6.0 liter with a stock muffler. Yesterday I noticed drops of water coming out of the bottom end of the muffler below where the tailpipe joins...at the crimped edge. Is this a manufacturer's weep hole to allow condensate in the muffler to drain and not corrode and rust out my muffler? Or do I have a hole in my muffler? Sam

Re: Weep hole - Muffler
That's a factory drain hole, pretty common on GM mufflers.

Re: Weep hole - Muffler
Thanks for the input...thought that was what it was. Have a 4runner and it does not have a drain hole in the muffler.

Re: Weep hole - Muffler
Hi guys: i have all ways drilled a 1/8 inch hole in the front and back of the muffler in the lowest point just above the crimp ( as the stock muffler has) to allow condensate in the muffler to drain as short drives in -30 tend to freeze or rust out to quick for my liking. 463

Re: Weep hole - Muffler
if you watch cars/trucks pulling away from a stop the tailpipe is 9 times out of ten is dripping or slobbering in cool to cold weather.
