Red face replacing carpet 02 Grand Caravan

I want to replace the carpet in the above. Is there anything out of the ordinary I need to look out for? Is there any shortcut that would help me?
Tia for a new poster. Thanks, Tom

No short cuts, just alot of old fashion work. Be careful when removing the trim, pry up a little at a time, pulling up to hard in one area can break the trim. The front seats are the hardest of it all, don't forget the electric connectors, front seats mainly, and front and rear console if need too. Good luck.

Re: replacing carpet 02 Grand Caravan

I did mine the old fashion way... I picked up a long enough piece from lowes (hey, you can get the blue shag if you want!) i just picked up something close to what my van had in there beige... much cheaper than 'oem replacement'

I laid the new carpet piece face down, flat on floor, turned, and laid old carpet face down on top of new and spray painted the edges over the new carpet. I spray painted all necessary holes also taking care not to move my 'stencil'. I then cut the new carpet to my stencil and installed using a little spray adhesive... worked great and took less than 1hr for this part..
of course you still have remove seats, all plastic trims, and interior wall panels. don't loose any screws!

total time 3-4 hours tops. I have a cordless impact and that made quick work of removing seatbelt bolts and seats.

let me know if you have any questions..

Wow, that is some good info - better for us all on a buget. That is almost tempting me to do mine. I can't believe what they want at the dealer for this. Will surely consider it now, just another good reason to go to Lowes, thanks.
