trans slipping really bad going into 2nd. HELP

My transmisison is slipping and hitting 2nd really hard. What is that from. All of the other gears are doing fine. Why just that one. I searched the forum and no luck with the same problem. grrrr. I checked my fluid it is at the perfect level. But one question I checked it like a normal vehicle I didn't go through every single gear pausing, like I read in the manual after the fact. ( I should of checked first I know), but How much would that throw it off. And my transmission fluid is black (prob or not a prob.???) thanks in advance.

When was the last time you got your tranny fluid changed the fluid should be reddish in color not black are you sure you arent pulling the oil dipstick by accident instead of tranny dipstick you should change the fluid and filter and see if that helps cause i was have tranny problems and i changed my filter and 7 quarts of fluid and it doesnt act up as bad as it did.

lol i'm sure. It looked black I could be wrong. but it was really dark anyways. and I bought it about two weeks ago with tranny fine. so not sure. and I took it out for a drive to see if it was still going to slip and now it is not slipping. the engine was really hot at the time (temp was fine though). I was just doing a lot of driving.
